Who am I? We all have different names identifiers for different situations. So in a formal style I would say original material on this website is Copyright © 2001-2008 Peter Rootham-Smith.
Peter does fine informally (I prefer “Peter” to “Pete” in passing.)
Where am I? One possible answer is that I live with my wife Virginia in a village to the north of Cambridge in England.
What am I like? My work, and many of my hobbies, feature computers. I enjoy the zest when things work, when patterns of 0s and 1s are sorcerously coerced into magical actions. Perhaps I would have been a wizard in olden times, certainly now in RPGs I have a penchant for casting fireball spells.
I really like French onion soup with melted cheese drowning in it, preferably eaten in a restaurant with good company to talk to. I also like eating in Benihana Steak Houses in the States and watching the chef not only cook the food before you, but also put on a comic juggling act as well.
I like watching films and reading books - the domain name by the way comes from the “World of Tiers” series by Philip José Farmer.
